Episode 07 is all about chiptunes! Not sure what they are? You can read about them at the very cool chiptune.com, but basically they’re songs made to sound like they’re being played on an original NES. This episode will not appeal to everyone, but some people (like myself!) love stuff like this, so prepare for a whopping 9 minutes of nerdiness!!

You may actually find episode 06 useful! The topic this time around is frequencies, which is an elusive subject to many! I describe in some detail the differences between, say, 20hz and 20khz and then use an example that filters out everything else to show what those frequencies sound like. Confused? Me too!
Some of the sources I used to gather information include musiq.com’s Digital Audio tutorial and some random site. Hooray! But this is stuff I covered in a class, too, so rest assured it’s accurate (?). Let’s hope!

Episode 05 provides the basics of the cables most folks will be using when recording audio. It provides an example of how the podcast was recorded, and how it would sound if it was recorded improperly or on lesser gear.
The link I mention in the episode is Everything you were Afraid to Ask about Cables on the TweakHeadz Lab site. I can’t even begin to tell you how useful this site is! Read the page. Read all the pages.

Until next time!
